摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new analysis method by which the function of a starch synthesis-related enzyme or the like can more simply and quickly be analyzed than conventional methods. <P>SOLUTION: This method for analyzing the function of a non-denaturing enzyme comprises subjecting a sample containing the non-denaturing enzyme to a gel electrophoresis, enzymatically reacting in the gel, cutting out the obtained reaction product-containing gel region, and then analyzing the structure of the reaction product in the gel region. For example, when the function of a starch synthase (SS) is analyzed by the analysis method of the present invention, a gel containing a band dyed by Native-PAGE/SS activity dyeing method is cut out, and the chain length structure of a polyglucan synthesized in the gel is determined by a capillary electrophoresis method.
