PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store identification information stored in an RFID tag into a portable storage medium to take them home and to input the identification information stored in the medium into a personal computer for searching a database via the Internet based on the identification information and acquiring relevant information about a commodity for use.

SOLUTION: This information management system is provided with an information management device 2, which receives the identification information about an article from a tag 1 attached to the article and stores the received identification information about the article in the portable storage medium 5, and an information access device 3 inputting the identification information about the article stored in the portable storage medium 5 and searching and acquiring the relevant information about the article based on the inputted identification information. The information management device 2 and the information access device 3 are connected mutually via a network 4.
