<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird or beast-preventing device in which rotary members are rotatably disposed and can prevent a bird or beast from staying thereon, because the rotary members are rotated by the self-weight of the bird or beast, even when the bird or beast tries to stay on the rotary members or grasps the rotary members. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of linear members 4 for preventing a bird or beast from staying thereon are disposed on a base member 3 mounted on an overhead line 2 on the whole periphery in the circumferential direction in a state that the overhead line 2 is passed through the base member 3. Thus, this bird or beast-preventing device 1 can be mounted on the overhead line to dispose the bird or beast-excluding member 4 on the periphery of the overhead line 2. Since the bird or beast-preventing device 1 does not utilize the rotation of all of the bird or beast-preventing device 1 by the self weight of the bird or beast to exclude the bird or beast, but utilizes the disposed linear members 4 incapable of being grasped by the bird or beast to exclude the bird or beast, an unforeseen trouble that the function for excluding the bird or beast is stopped by an external factor is hardly caused, and high reliability can be ensured. In addition, since the linear members 4 are disposed on the whole periphery in the circumferential direction, it is not necessary to worry a posture for mounting the linear members 4 on the overhead line 2, and works for mounting the linear members are easy.
