GRANULATING METHOD OF GRANULATED BLAST FURNACE SLAG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granulating method by which the mass per unit volume is controlled without making the surface of slag sharp and crushing the slag into fine particles in the manufacture of fine aggregate for concrete from the granulated blast furnace slag in place of natural sand or the manufacture of artificial sand for fish breeding or for leasure beach.

SOLUTION: At least the particle size distribution of the granulated blast furnace slag is changed by charging the granulated blast furnace slag into a high speed mixer 1 provided with a rotating mixing pan 2, a mixing tool 3 arranged in a position eccentric to the center position of the mixing pan, a scraper 4 fixed and arranged inside the mixing pan. In such a case, it is preferable that the rotating direction of the mixing pan is reverse to that of the mixing tool.
