摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission device with which input information is highly efficiently and stably transmitted in a micro region with a size less than the wavelength of incident light. SOLUTION: The optical transmission device has a plasmon lens, a condensing fine structure, and a transmitting fine structure. The plasmon lens is constructed by including a plurality of fine structures (13) for lenses formed on positions on a metal film formed on an upper surface of an optically flat substrate on the basis of a prescribed rule, and condenses surface plasmon light resulting from the incident light, which is the input information, with which the metal film is irradiated at a prescribed incident angle, excited and scattered on the metal film surface. Also, at least one condensing fine structure (14) is arranged on a condensing point of the plasmon lens, and excites localized plasmon light with the surface plasmon light condensed with the plasmon lens. Furthermore, the transmitting fine structure (15) is formed in the vicinity of the condensing fine structure (14) and transmits the localized plasmon light excited with the condensing fine structure (14) as output light with respect to the incident light.
