PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope device capable of reducing consumption of a battery, when an auxiliary light means is used. SOLUTION: The stroboscope device has the auxiliary light means used for auxiliary light for detecting a focal point, and for display for recognition of other states. The strobe device has an auxiliary light control means (S114), by which when the auxiliary light means is used for display for the recognition of the states, the amount of light emitted from the auxiliary light means is made smaller than the amount (S110) of auxiliary light for detecting the focal point.
