PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in that finding a person arousing the interest of a shooting is a demanding task in a case that many people gathers at a wide place, including a sports ground, a theme park. SOLUTION: A transmitter 6 is attached to an object 5. An object position is detected with the aid of signals from a plurality of GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) satellites 7 to radio-transmit object position information to a photographing apparatus 1. The photographing apparatus 1 detects self-photographing position information with the aid of the signals from the plurality of GPS satellites 7. The rough direction of the object 5 is calculated by referring to the additionally received object position information and the photographing position information. Then the direction of the object 5 is calculated with good accuracy by a combination of an array antenna 2a and an array antenna 2b and is displayed on a finder screen display section 3.
