PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer electronic component having excellent connection reliability with other components. SOLUTION: The multilayer electronic component 11 comprises a multilayer part 12, via conductors 31, 32, a first external terminal electrode 41, and a second external terminal electrode 42. The multilayer part 12 has a first main surface 13 and a second main surface 14. The multilayer part 12 has a structure in which a plurality of dielectric layers 15 and a plurality of internal electrode layers 21, 22 are alternately layered. The via conductors 31, 32 pass through the plurality of dielectric layers 15 to electrically connect to the plurality of internal electrode layers 21, 22. The first external terminal electrode 41 is electrically connected to the via conductors 31, 32 on the side of the main surface 13. The second external terminal electrode 42 has a larger area and a smaller thickness than those of the first external terminal electrode 41, and is connected to the via conductors 31, 32 on the side of the second main surface 14.
