PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device superior in dampproof property, flexibility, and penetration resistance strength. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device 50 is provided with a first glass substrate 11', a luminous layer 17 provided on the first glass substrate 11', a sealing resin layer 18 for sealing the luminous layer 17, and a second glass substrate 31 arranged opposed to the first glass substrate 11'. Each of the first glass substrate 11' and the second glass substrate 31 has plastic films 2, 32 provided on the opposite face to the luminous layer 17, and the first substrate 11' and the second substrate 31 are adhered and fixed by the sealing resin layer 18.
