PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device and a recording program, wherein at least still-image data are recorded on a recording medium so as to be managed on the basis of the date/time information. SOLUTION: There are provided at least: a data input means for reading a plurality of pieces of data such as image data or audio data from media, a digital camera, or the like; a data kind specifying means for specifying the kind of each of the data, referring to the extension of the data or the like; a date/time information extraction means for extracting the date/time information on at least the still-image data, referring to header information or the like; a renaming means for performing the renaming of the file of the at least still-image data into the file name numbered on the basis of the date/time information; and a data recording means for recording the renamed data. Because at least the still-image data are recorded in order based on the date/time information, the still-image data can be managed according to the kind in the order of the date and the time, irrespective of the kind or the file name of the inputted data.
