PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a retaining wall using blocks for the retaining wall is conventionally constructed of only basic blocks basically of the same kind (thick in depth thickness), which results in excessive strength in a retaining wall construction place requiring not so high strength, and waste in respect of material cost. SOLUTION: This built-up block has two kinds of blocks which are a basic block 1 thick in depth thickness and a plate-like block 2 thin in depth thickness respectively formed of concrete molded products. The respective right and left side faces of the basic block 1 and plate-like block 2 are formed with convex and concave fitting means for engaging both blocks with each other out of longitudinal dislocation when both blocks 1, 2 are laterally joined.
