PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill carrying device, capable of securing constantly stable carrying states without being limited in relation with length of bills to be carried, in which length of a carrying passage is adjustable. SOLUTION: This bill carrying unit A1 is provided with a first carrying part 1 and a second carrying part 2. The first carrying part 1 comprises a first frame body 10, and first carrying mechanisms 1b and 1r to carry bills in the first frame body 10. The second carrying part 2 comprises a second frame body 20, and second carrying mechanisms 2b and 2r interlocked with the first carrying mechanisms 1b and 1r to carry the bills in the second frame body 20. The first frame body 10 of the first carrying part 1 and the second frame body 20 of the second carrying part 2 are coupled to each other to be slidable in the bill carrying direction (lateral direction in the figure).
