PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress tire abrasion and energy loss while enlarging a control range of a steering characteristic, and to improve durability of a drive system. SOLUTION: In a four-wheel drive vehicle 1 for transmitting output torque on an engine 7 side to a front wheel 3, and to a rear wheel 5 through a control coupling 9, wherein speed reduction ratio to the rear wheel 5 is set to be lower than that to the front wheel 3, a controller 23 for controlling control torque of the control coupling 9 so as not to exceed the output torque of a transaxle is provided.
