PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the thread wiping of a needle thread extending from a hole of a sewing needle by a wiper device in the manner of being drawn to an upper surface side of a processed cloth when a connecting thread to connect two or more embroidery regions or an embroidery thread is changed to the other color during the embroidery sewing and the needle thread is cut by a thread cutting means after the sewing is completed. SOLUTION: A needle bar stand 38 is moved rightward to a position where the needle bar stand can abut on an abutment section 29 of a driving force input member 19 by a needle swinging mechanism 9. Here, the abutment section 29 abuts on the needle bar stand 38 and a wiper member 13 executes an action of the thread wiping when a supporting member 17 is lifted up together with a presser foot 26 by an action of going up and down of a holding bar 10.
