PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dust from being blown up and discharged together with exhaust gas from a dust collecting tub by a swirl. SOLUTION: A cyclone-type dust separator includes a dust separation section (26) to suck in the air from an aperture (42) disposed at a perimeter of an exhaust pipe (32) which penetrates into the vicinity of the center of a swirl duct (38) to change the intake air to the swirl (36), an approximately cylindrical dust collecting section (28) which is attached to the dust separation section (26) from below and drops and collects the dust separated from the swirl (36), and a current plate (44) which is fixed to a closed bottom end of the exhaust pipe (32), has a peripheral edge to extend in a shape of an approximate reverse funnel to an inner wall of the duct collecting section (28) and has an edge section being an elastic film, wherein an interval between the peripheral edge of the current plate (44) and the inner wall of the dust collecting section (28) is made to be 1/2 or smaller than an interval between the exhaust pipe (32) and the dust collecting section (28).
