<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength division multiplexing coupler which can be directly attached and detached to/from a twin receptacle type light transmitter-receiver. <P>SOLUTION: The wavelength division multiplexing coupler 1 is provided with a case 101 in which two plugs are arranged on the side surface of a rectangular parallelepiped and a receptacle is arranged on the side surface opposite to the side surface on which the plugs are arranged. The plugs of the wavelength division multiplexing coupler 1 are fitted to the twin receptacle type light transmitter-receiver and the receptacle is fitted to a one-core optical fiber plug. A parallelogram prism 119, an optical filter 120 and a rectangular prism 121 are disposed on the inner part of the rectangular parallelepiped. The wavelength division multiplexing coupler 1 outputs a light signal of wavelengthλ1 made incident from one side plug of the two plugs from the receptacle. The wavelength division multiplexing coupler 1 outputs a light signal of wavelengthλ2 made incident to the receptacle from the other side plug. The parallelogram prism 119, optical filter 120 and rectangular prism 121 multiplex/demultiplex the light signal of wavelengthλ1 and the light signal of wavelengthλ2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
