<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing water-absorbing resin composition exhibiting excellent deodorizing properties which decomposes urea contained in urine in water-absorbing layers of diapers or urine disposal articles for house pets to suppress propagation of bacteria generating ammonia, methylamine or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizing water-absorbing resin composition comprises a highly water-absorbing resin and a compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each the same or different 1-4C straight chain or branched alkylene group; R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>5</SB>are each a hydrogen atom, or the same or different halogen atom, lower alkyl group or lower alkoxyl group; R<SB>3</SB>is a 2-12C straight chain or branched alkylene group; R<SB>6</SB>is a 1-18C straight chain or branched alkyl group; and Z is a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, an iodine atom or an OSO<SB>2</SB>R<SB>7</SB>group (wherein R<SB>7</SB>is a lower alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
