<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source management system which totally manages power sources of a host device such as a copying machine, etc. and client terminals which use the host device through a network. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing device 10 investigates activation statuses of respective client terminals CT1 to CTn, makes a mobile agent 35 which collects activation status data of the investigation result, periodically patrols the respective client terminals CT1 to CTn of a local area network NW1. The mobile agent 35 executes an activation status investigation order in the respective client terminals CT1 to CTn of the local area network NW1, collects and stores activation status data of the execution result, and at the same time, reads out stored past activation status data of the client terminals CT1 to CTn.
