PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing method for sheet materials for preventing the sheet materials in any rows from warping in the width direction. SOLUTION: According to the packing method for the sheet materials, a plurality of floor boards (sheet materials) aligned in the longitudinal direction 12 thereof are stacked up to form a unit 8, which is stacked up in a vertical direction 16 to form a row, which is then lined up in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction 12 to form a plurality of rows 3a, 3b and 3c. An elongated spacer 18 is placed between the rows 3a and 3b and between rows 3b and 3c to form respective gaps 22. Each spacer 18 is so arranged that its elongated direction matches the vertical direction 16, and has holes communicating in the direction that is perpendicular to the elongated direction and matches the longitudinal direction of the floor boards.
