PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device in which operation labor of moving a position of a focus regulating region can be reduced. SOLUTION: A digital camera 1A is provided with an auto focus (AF) function and further is loaded with a plurality of auto focus modes concerning auto focus. These auto focus modes include a multi-secting auto focus mode and a FFP (flex focus point) auto focus mode which can move a position of an auto focus area in an imaging image. When the auto focus mode is switched to the multi-secting auto focus mode or to the FFP auto focus mode, the digital camera 1A decides the position of the auto focus area immediately after switching on the basis of a position of a representative point of the auto focus area immediately before switching.
