PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator adapted not to open a door even in case that an unexpected force continuously acts thereon, and to permit the opening of the door in case that an external force acts thereon, and the change quantity per unit time of the magnitude of this external force is a predetermined quantity or more. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises detection means 8, 9 and 31 to 33 detecting the magnitude of external force applied to predetermined areas of doors 1 to 5 or a predetermined area of the casing of the refrigerator, a determination means 16 determining whether the change quantity per unit time of the magnitude of external force detected by each of the detection means 8, 9 and 31-33 is a preset predetermined quantity or more, and an opening means opening the doors 1-5 in the case that the determination means determines the predetermined quantity or more.
