PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission equipped with a torque limiting means which is simple, reduced in size and weight, and can be formed at low costs without applying the excessive transmission torque on a roller clutch in controlling the engagement and cut-off the roller clutch in the rotation transmission installed on a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: The rotation transmission device is provided with the roller clutch 10 comprising a roller as an engaging piece on the rotary shaft to change the transmission and cut-off of the power on the rotary shaft, and an electromagnetic clutch 20 to control the engagement and cut-off by electromagnetic force of an electromagnetic coil 21. When the transmission torque of the rotary shaft is not less than the excessive torque value exceeding a set torque value, a convex and concave engagement mechanism 30A is set as a torque limitter to limit the torque transmission by causing a slip between the shafts, so that the device is reduced in size and weight and can be formed at low costs.
