VEHICULAR LIGHTING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a vehicular lighting system for providing safe and pleasant light distribution to an elderly person.

SOLUTION: This vehicular lighting system includes: a plurality of light sources which illuminate different areas from each other and form prescribed light distribution patterns as a whole; an age group determination section which determines a driver as an elderly person if the age of the driver exceeds a prescribed elderly person threshold value; and a control section which controls the plurality of light sources so as to obtain a larger quantity of light of right and left ends of the light distribution pattern than in the case of a non-elderly person if the age group determination section determines the driver as an elderly person.
