<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood having such a structure that the same energy absorption performance is obtained wherever an action position of external force due to collision is and generated load is not reduced even after a peak. <P>SOLUTION: This hood 10 of a vehicle is composed of a hood skin 11, a hood frame 12 provided on a lower face of the hood skin 11 to reinforce the hood skin 11, and foaming metal 14 arranged in all the parts or a part of a space 13 formed by the hood skin 11 and the hood frame 12. The foaming metal is continuously collapsed when receiving external force. Shock energy having substantially fixed magnitude can be continuously absorbed by continuous collapse.
