PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the inserting performance of an endoscope channel by preventing the maximum length of a hard portion from exceeding the length of a needle member and to surely protect the tip of the needle member. SOLUTION: The puncturing needle 10 for an endoscope has the needle member 22 arranged in the sheath 21, a needle moving means 32 moving the needle member 22 forward and backward, a projecting amount regulating means 23 arranged in the distal end of the sheath 21 and regulating the projecting amount of the needle member 22, a protecting means 24 provided on the inner periphery of the sheath 21 and protecting the tip of the needle member 22, a projecting amount control means 25 provided on the needle member 22 and controlling the projecting amount of the needle member from the distal end of the sheath 21 by engaging with the projecting amount regulating means 23 when the needle member 22 projects from the distal end of the sheath 21, and at least a part of whole length of the protecting means 24 is composed of a flexible portion with flexibility, and the flexible portion is arranged in at least a part between the projecting amount regulating means 23 and the tip of the needle member 22 in a state that the needle member 22 is retracted within the sheath 21.
