PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify installation work of a supercooling device, and to prevent trouble due to human error during the installation work by allowing operation control without carrying out exchange of signals with an attachment target freezer in a supercooling unit to be attached to the freezer. SOLUTION: In the supercooling unit 200, its refrigerant passage 205 is connected to liquid side communication pipes 21 and 22 of the freezer 10. When a compressor 221 for supercooling is operated, a refrigerant for supercooling is circulated in a refrigerant circuit 220 for supercooling, a refrigerating cycle is carried out, and the refrigerant of the freezer flowing in the refrigerant passage 205 is cooled. Detected values of a suction pressure sensor 234 and a refrigerant temperature sensor 236 are inputted in a controller 240 of the supercooling unit 200. The controller 240 carries out operation control of the compressor 221 for supercooling on the basis of information acquired in the supercooling unit 200 by using input signals from the sensors 234 and 236.
