PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemically suitable compounded particle which has magnetism, emits light in an infrared region, and raises no problem of fluorescent substance's liberation as is conventional, poor collection properties of beads, and an expensive detector. SOLUTION: The compounded particle is composed of a ferromagnetic iron oxide particle, a fluorescent pigment particle and silica and characterized in that its average particle size is 1-10μm, its coersive force is 2.39-11.94 kA/m (30-150 oersted), its saturated magnetization is 0.5-40 (Am<SP>2</SP>)/kg (0.5-40 emu/g) and the peak value of a fluorescence emitting wavelength when the compounded particle is excited by light with a wavelength of 250-1,000 nm is above 750-2,000 nm.
