PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corona noise monitoring system of simple structure capable of restraining a production cost and capable of monitoring easily a condition of a power transmission line in a remote site, and a corona noise monitoring method using the corona noise monitoring system. SOLUTION: This corona noise monitoring system 100 of the present invention is constituted of a corona noise monitoring device 10, a corona noise monitoring unit 40, and a public telephone line C for connecting those. A frequency of a sound wave including a corona noise is converted into a low frequency to be transmitted by the public telephone line C, and to be regenerated at a standard speed after received.
