A Platform Container for the transportation of cylinder - shaped cargo, which includes at least 2 bottom side rails parallel to each other, a plurality of bottom transverse beams provided between said 2 bottom side rails, and 2 end rails disposed to the ends of said bottom side rails. An indentation is provided on the lower surface of said bottom transverse beam and around the joint between said bottom transverse beam and said bottom side rail, such that the container bottom is adapted for being guided by said indentation along a roller-guiding path while said container being dragged from a trailer or train to another trailer through the roller-guiding path.
