<p>A monitoring device with a temperature control mechanism, comprising a liquid receiving frame (28) having a heater (43) for heating the outer frame of an immersion objective lens (13). An immersion liquid (30) is heated and insulated by the heater (43) through the outer frame of the immersion objective lens (13), and a specimen (34) in a container is kept at a constant temperature by utilizing heat transfer through the immersion liquid (30). To prevent the temperature of the specimen (34) from being changed keep constant the temperature, the temperature control mechanism re-heats the immersion liquid (30) when the temperature of the immersion liquid (30) is lowered by heat radiation during measurement and monitoring.</p> |
