<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal separator at least the position of which to be in contact with a sample is sterilized in a rotor-incorporated state so that the sample can be separated centrifugally in a completely germfree condition. <P>SOLUTION: This centrifugal separator is constituted so that the sample is supplied into the rotor of a rotating unit part 10 through a sample line, the rotor is rotary driven in a rotor room to separate the sample centrifugally and the centrifugally separated sample is discharged from the rotor through the sample line. A steam sterilization apparatus (sterilization apparatus) is arranged for making steam (a sterilizing fluid) flow in the sample line to sterilize at least the position to be in contact with the sample.
