PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroboscope apparatus that performs boosting operation with high conversion efficiency and performs charging in an optimum state with references to various conditions. SOLUTION: A stroboscope apparatus includes a flyback transformer provided with a primary coil and a second coil, a switching device for turning on/off a power supply for the primary coil based a control signal supplied to a control input terminal, a rectifying device for rectifying a flyback pulse generated on the secondary coil when the switching device is changed to an off-state, a main capacitor for charging a rectified current, an oscillation control means for creating a control signal for turning a switching device on or off and supplying it to a control input terminal of the switching device, a charging voltage detecting means for detecting the charging voltage of the main capacitor, and a storage means for storing data of the control signal predetermined depending on the charging voltage. The oscillation control means delivers a control signal by reading data from selected addresses according to detection results of the charging voltages during charging.
