STREAM DATA RECEPTION/TRANSFER METHOD AND STREAM RECEIVER, AND STREAM DATA RECEPTION/TRANSFER PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure redundancy of received stream data even when the number of relay stages of each piece of the received stream data differs in stream distribution of a multi-stage relay type.

SOLUTION: The length of a buffer is individually set to each piece of the stream data on the basis of a maximum number of relay stages of the stream data and a storage coefficient in each receiver and the number of relay stages of each piece of the stream data. Further, when the number of relay stages differs among respective pieces of the stream data, the length of the buffer for a piece of the stream data including the largest number of relay stages is used for a reference length, and the length of the buffer for a piece of the stream data whose relay number of stages is small is extended to ensure the redundancy.
