PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column reinforcing structure improving mechanical strength of a joint provided part of a column by solving a problem wherein the column and a beam in a wooden building is generally joined by cutting a beam joined part of the column to provide the joint and fitting the beam into the joint, but the cross-sectional area of the joint provided part of the column becomes small to lower mechanical strength such as flexural strength of the whole column. SOLUTION: This column reinforcing structure is provided with the column provided with a split, and an L-shaped fitting with one rib fitted into the split and with the other rib fixed to the surface of the column provided with the split. The L-shaped fitting is fixed to the same height as the beam joined part such as the joint to further improve the mechanical strength of the beam joined part of the column.
