The sweeper has an operating console provided with a forearm support (1), and a number of operating units for operating a sweeping unit in a driver`s cab, where one of the units acts on a side adjusting drive. One operation unit is designed as a flat main operating knob (2) and provided on the console before the support. The knob is moved laterally from a zero position against a spring force in both directions and acts on the drive.
