<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a main chassis of a magnetic recording and reproducing device which is provided with the main chassis and a sub-chassis and conducts recording and reproducing by winding a tape onto a rotating head cylinder with a prescribed angle. <P>SOLUTION: By arranging a rotating shaft 10b of an idler arm nearer to a rotating head cylinder 7 side than a rotating shaft 10d of an idler gear, it is possible to arrange the position of the rotating shaft 10b of the idler arm on a main chassis 6 to the top side (the rotating head cylinder 7 side). Thus, the rotating shaft of the idler arm, which is normally located in the vicinity of the lowermost tip section of a conventional main chassis, can be arranged close toward the rotating head cylinder direction, the front end of the main chassis is greatly cut out, the size of the main chassis is reduced and other constituting parts can be arranged at the cut out section and a small sized magnetic recording and reproducing device is realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
