PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube holding structure capable of eliminating the deflection of a fluorescent display tube, preventing its leg from breaking at the time of its fall etc., and obviating the direct exertion of the load from a top plate on the fluorescent display tube. SOLUTION: The fluorescent display tube holding structure holds the fluorescent display tube 2 in a video deck to prevent its vibration and is commonly used as a top plate presser for eliminating the recess of the top plate 4. A vibration suppression member 3 composed of a block body is mounted on the substrate 1 on the rear surface side of the fluorescent display tube 2 mounted on the substrate 1 inside the video deck. The front surface side of the vibration suppression member 3 is projected with a pair of right and left holding arms 3a and 3c of an approximately L shape in plan view so as to hold the fluorescent display tube 2 therein and the vibration suppression member 3 is mounted on the substrate 1 in the state that locking pawl sections 3b and 3c prepared to face downward on the under surface side are inserted and locked into insertion holes 1a and 1b drilled in the substrate 1 such that the top surface of the vibration suppression member 3 has a role of a top plate presser by coming into contact with the under surface of the top plate 4, thereby preventing the top plate 4 from being recessed.
