PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material for construction easily installed, maintaining excellent sealing property even under long-term use and coping with a clearance change between a foundation member and a sill beam. SOLUTION: This sealing material for construction consists of a mounting base part 1 composed of a pedestal part 10 of plate shape formed of a hard member extending in the longitudinal direction of the sill beam 200 and having threaded holes 12 bored at predetermined spaces for thread-fastening to the foundation member 100, and a seal support part 11 formed of a hard member extending in the longitudinal direction of the sill beam 200 and extending from the pedestal part 10 toward the sill beam 200; and a sealing part 2 formed of a soft member mounted to the mounting base part 1 and extending in the longitudinal direction of the sill beam 200 and extending from an upper end of the seal support part 11 toward the sill beam 200. The sealing part 2 is curved or bent and brought into resilient contact with the sill beam 200 to seal a clearance between the foundation member 100 and the sill beam 200.
