<p>The roof rack system (6) for a motor vehicle, especially a private motor vehicle, has a load carrier (7,8) which is fastened on a roof supporting structure to support the roof load (9), and a sensor device (14) for the load carrier to record forces acting on the support structure originating from the roof load, and to generate measurement signals. The load carrier is in the form of a rail which has two railing bars (11a,11b) mounted on the roof (2) with a space apart and parallel to one another. An independent claim is included for a motor vehicle, especially a private motor vehicle, with a roof rack system mounted on the roof of the vehicle.</p> |
