<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic bearing device capable of accurately determining a time of the replacement of a protective bearing. <P>SOLUTION: This magnetic bearing device comprises magnetic bearings 5, 6, 7 for supporting a rotator 4 by magnetic attraction force of electromagnets 26, 27, 28 in the axial direction and the radial directions in a non-contact state, a displacement detecting means 8 for detecting the axial and radial displacements of the rotator 4, the protective bearings 11, 12 for touch down, and a control means for controlling the electromagnets 26, 27, 28 of the magnetic bearings 5, 6, 7 on the basis of a displacement detection value of the displacement detecting means 8. The control means comprises a counting means for counting and storing the number of times of touch down of the rotator 4, a means for detecting the axial and radial clearances of the rotator 4 to the protective bearings 11, 12 in starting the magnetic bearings 5, 6, 7, and a means for determining whether the protective bearings 11, 12 reach replacement time or not on the basis of a counted value of the number of times of touch down stored in the counting means and detection values of the clearances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
