<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical recording medium capable of securing reproducibility of recording and reproducing characteristics even when a coating liquid for forming a recording layer containing a plurality of similar coloring matters is reused and efficiently realizing reduction of the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the optical recording medium having a recording layer on a substrate, containing the plurality of coloring matters having maximum absorption wavelengths whose differences are within 30 nm, when the recording layer is formed, the coating liquid for forming the recording layer is applied by a spin coating method, the coating liquid for forming the recording layer or the coloring matters dispersed by a spin coater are recovered, the recovered coating liquid or the coloring matters are diluted by the solvent identical with the solvent of the coating liquid to form a diluted liquid, component concentration of the diluted liquid is analyzed by using a liquid chromatography satisfying the following conditions (A) and (B) and a solution obtained by adjusting the component concentration of the diluted liquid based on the result of analysis is reused. (A) A wavelength between the maximum absorption wavelength on the shortest wave side and the maximum absorption wavelength on the longest wave side is designated as an HPLC detection wavelength.
