<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recorder, a video recording method and a video-recording program which make a commercial message comfortably viewable by a viewer, an information providing apparatus, an information providing method and an information providing program which provide the viewer with commodity information even during viewing recorded the commercial message, a marketing information acquiring system, and a marketing information method which obtains useful marketing information including recorded commercial message viewing information. <P>SOLUTION: A CM information providing apparatus provides a video recorder with CM codes, CM relevant information generated by advertising agents and CM broadcast schedules. The recorder retrieves CMs recorded in the apparatus or CMs recorded by utilizing the CM relevant information.
