<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and efficiently remove an acid component and a chlorine gas contained in an exhaust gas by using a dry type exhaust gas treatment apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the exhaust gas treatment method, the acid component comprising an inorganic acid and the chlorine gas contained in the exhaust gas are removed by an anion exchange fiber. By maintaining the anion exchange fiber to the wetting state by a sodium hydroxide solution during exhaust gas treatment, the acid component is ion-exchanged with the anion exchange fiber and is removed, and the chlorine gas is reacted with sodium hydroxide and is removed as a salt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
