<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for inhibiting a reducing agent added from a reducing agent addition valve from adhering onto a wall surface of an exhaust pipe and for allowing the reducing agent to more surly reach an exhaust emission control device in a V-eight internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: In the V-eight internal combustion engine in which a combustion interval between two cylinders (#5, #7) in the same bank is a crank angle of 90 degrees, when the reducing agent is supplied to the exhaust emission control device, the reducing agent is added (t1-t2) from the reducing agent addition valve in synchronization with valve opening periods of exhaust valves of the predetermined two cylinders (#5, #7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
