PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an n-type thermoelectric conversion material which has a small environmental load, can use an inexpensive oxide material, can be reduced with little degradation in a Seebeck coefficient, and has a high output factor. SOLUTION: An oxide is used as the n-type thermoelectric conversion material, wherein the oxide has a crystalline structure consisting of a perovskite structure expressed by a general formula of ABO<SB>3</SB>, A<SB>3</SB>B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>7</SB>or A<SB>2</SB>BO<SB>4</SB>where A refers to strontium, B refers to titanium and O refers to oxygen, or a perovskite structure and a rock salt structure laminated with the strontium of 1-3 atomic% in a crystal substituted for cerium, and contains hydrogen of 3×10<SP>18</SP>-6×10<SP>18</SP>atoms/cm<SP>3</SP>in the crystal.
