The rotating phase of the external shuttle casing driving shaft is matched with the engagement start phase of the front end (21) of opener engagement unit (20). Then a throttle plate protrusion (81) is made to contact a shuttle protrusion (62). The movement adjustment of engagement unit is performed after each step so that front end of engagement unit engages with the shuttle protrusion. An independent claim is also included for the opener of horizontally rotating shuttle of sewing machine.
