ANTIREFLECTION FILM AND ANTIREFLECTION PLATE HAVING THE SAME

An antireflection film comprising two layers superimposed in sequence according to a wet coating method, which exhibits a luminous reflectance of = 2.0% and a color difference (?E*), determined from surface reflectances at two arbitrary different points, of = 2.0. When nH and nL respectively represent refractive indexes at a wavelength of 587.6 nm of the two layers of the antireflection film in the sequence of superimposition, it is preferred to satisfy the relationships of the formulae: 1.38 = nL = 1.48 (1), and 1.55 = nH = 1.70 (2). Further, when dH and dL respectively represent physical thicknesses (unit: nm) of the two layers in the sequence of superimposition, it is preferred to satisfy the relationships of the formulae: 95 = dL = 105 (3), and 245-dL = dH = 255-dL (4).
