<p>A magnetic recording medium (10) includes a first magnetic layer (15), a second magnetic layer (17), and a non-magnetic coupling layer (16) provided between the first and second magnetic layers (15, 17) so that the first and second magnetic layers (15, 17) are exchange-coupled and the magnetizations of the first and second magnetic layers (15, 17) are antiparallel. The first magnetic layer (15) has an exchange coupling field which is larger than the respective coercivities of the first and second magnetic layers (15, 17).</p> |
