PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder with which images of high image quality is recorded by surely correcting a fluctuation errors for all the fluctuation factors by, using a simple constitution without using a temperature sensor. SOLUTION: In the image recorder, a laser head for laser irradiation and a displacement sensor for measuring the distance between the laser head and the surface of a drum are integrally attached to a recording head. A correction value has been set previously by measuring the distance between the laser head and the drum at a plurality of positions in the axial direction (the subscanning direction) of the drum by using the displacement sensor, and changes in the value due to the backlash of the constituting parts of the recording head and the expansion of the drum is corrected, and the focal position of the laser head at the time of recording the image is decided so that the image is recorded with high accuracy. |
