PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axle device with both a differential gear body and a pinion cage compactly constituted while being a type supporting a drive pinion gear side at three points or more. SOLUTION: A passive ring gear 14 is provided in a differential gear 11 freely arranged inside a differential gear body 10. A drive pinion gear 22 capable of meshing with the ring gear 14 is rotatably supported by the pinion cage 20 and the pinion cage 20 is provided detachable to a differential gear body 10 side. The differential gear 11 is movable in a direction of a rotation axis 1 inside the differential gear body 10. The drive pinion gear 22 rotatably supports plural intermediate portions of a pinion gear shaft 23 in the pinion cage 20 by bearing means 24 and 25a. An inner end portion 23a of the pinion gear shaft 23 is rotatably supported in a supporting member 31 via a bearing means 30 and the supporting member 31 is connected to the pinion cage 20.
